Book Hangover Playlist: A Gathering of Shadows

So I finished reading queen V.E. Schwab’s A Gathering of Shadows last week, and I’m still too hungover on it to write a proper review! Basically, I’ve been listening to music to numb the pain that is knowing I’ll have to wait until next February to know what happens next.

*cries forever*

Right now, my review would be akin to something like OMG LILA BARD IS SUCH A BADASS and I DIDN’T KNOW IT COULD GET BETTER BUT IT DID and V.E. SCHWAB IS NOW ONE OF MY NEW FAVOURITE AUTHORS…but I feel like that isn’t good productive content, as much as it’s true. So we’ll all have to wait a few days until my brain decides to calm down and can put together a coherent sentence about how much I loved this book.

Until then, I’ll leave you with this playlist I’ve been listening to obsessively because I never want to leave Red London.

Happy Monday!

Also: My Harry Potter and the Cursed Child review will be set back as well. Long story short, I started reading it and I got to page 36 or somewhere around that and HP said something that I considered to be very un-Harry-Potter-like and it was making me sad so I just stopped reading it. I will eventually be finishing it and writing a review, but my A Gathering of Shadows review will be first.

Also also: My scheduling is all out of order, so bear with me while I get back to reviews on Sundays and litstyle on Wednesday – this week might be kind of sporadic.

I'm Emma Kath. Welcome to my blog! This is where I post my original book reviews, litstyle (lifestyle for the lit-nerd), and other bookish things. A little about me: I'm Canadian, and currently a student majoring in English lit and cultural studies. I'm an introvert (INFJ, if you believe in that sort of thing), sarcastic to the bone, I love art and history, and hope to one day travel around a bit. Until then, I'll be reading, writing, and trying to spread a little kindness around the internet. If you have any questions or inquiries, feel free to contact me!

  1. Shades of Magic is probably the next thing I’m going to read. I loved Vicious so I can’t wait to read these books as well. I’ll go back to your playlist then. XD
